Process engineering
Process Design
The fundamentals of chemical engineering applied to the design of real production processes, ending in a design project.
- Duration
- 12 weeks
- Format
- Classroom, Baku
- Course manual
- Process Design Manual-1
About the course
PD1 teaches the design of production processes, in theory and in practice, built on the core principles of chemical engineering. Participants gain a working knowledge of the equipment and processes most used in industry and apply it to a real production design project. The course follows Process Design Manual-1, written by Velocis Solutions.
What you will learn
- Learn the core topics of chemical engineering: hydraulics, heat transfer, separation and reactions
- Apply those principles to production processes
- Design a real production process from first principles
- Understand how production equipment works and evaluate its performance
- Carry out engineering calculations on equipment and systems independently
- Analyse how process systems and equipment behave
