Process engineering
Oil and Gas Platform Design using AspenTech HYSYS
Learn AspenTech HYSYS in depth by building a complete simulation model of an oil and gas production platform.
- Duration
- 8 weeks
- Format
- Classroom, Baku
About the course
PD3 teaches the design of an oil and gas platform using AspenTech HYSYS, the simulator most widely used in the oil and petrochemical industry. Step by step, participants build a simulation model of a production platform — from the wells to the export pipelines — and finish with a verified heat and mass balance.
What you will learn
- Work confidently in AspenTech HYSYS
- Understand the layout and systems of an oil and gas production platform
- Simulate wells, separators, pump stations, compression and export systems
- Account for gas hydrates in export pipelines
- Verify a model and produce a heat and mass balance
